Brett Lim raised to 3,600,000 with the A9 and Elan Lepovic called with the Q9. The domination rotation followed on the Q54 flop on which Lepovic check-called for 4,000,000. They checked the 4 turn and 5 river for Lepovic to claim the last pot of the level before they went on a short ten-minute break.

Lepovic Gets Some Back

Level 39 : Blinds 600,000/1,200,000, 1,200,000 ante

Brett Lim limped in with the Q10 and then called a raise to 4,000,000 with the 88. The A22 flop saw Elan Lepovic bet for 3,000,000 and Lim folded.

Lepovic then limped in with the A10 and Lim knuckled back the 95 to find a gutshot on the A87 flop. Lim opted to bet for 2,000,000 and Lepovic called with his hidden top pair, as they headed to the 5 turn. This time, Lim checked and Lepovic bet 7,000,000 to take down the pot without resistance.

Lepovic Hero-Calls Correctly With Ace-High

Level 39 : Blinds 600,000/1,200,000, 1,200,000 ante

Elan Lepovic raised to 3,000,000 with the A8 on the button and was called by Brett Lim with the K3. Both checked the 422 and did so again on the 9 turn. Lim then bet the 7 river for 3,000,000 and Lepovic called to get some chips back after his previous two big lay downs.

Lim joked that he can't win any showdowns against Lepovic to his wife and daughter on the rail after this hand.

In the next hand, Lim removed all other options and simply jammed the button with the A4. Lepovic in the big blind had the marginally better A5, but elected to fold.

Good Fold by Lepovic

Another limped pot brought Elan Lepovic in the big blind and Brett Lim on the button on a flop of K710, which was checked by both players.

On the J turn, Lepovic bet 3,000,000, and was called. He then raised to 8,000,000 on the J river with K5 for two pair.

Lim, who had hit trips on the river with QJ, went into the tank and even stood up to get a better look at the board. He eventually moved all in. Now in a tough spot, Lepovic thought for a minute before deciding to fold.

Lim Extends his Lead

Level 39 : Blinds 600,000/1,200,000, 1,200,000 ante

In a limped pot, Brett Lim in the big blind bet 2,000,000 on the 93Q flop and Elan Lepovic called from the button.

Lim checked the K flop and called after Lepovic bet 5,000,000. The A then completed the board, but was checked by both players.

Lim flipped over Q2 for a pair and scooped the pot against Lepovic's J8.

Lim Jams the Turn; Lepovic Folds Correctly

Level 39 : Blinds 600,000/1,200,000, 1,200,000 ante

Brett Lim raised to 2,600,000 with the AA on the button and Elan Lepovic called in the big blind with the QJ to spike top pair on the J97 flop. Lepovic checked to Lim and faced a bet worth 3,500,000 which he countered with a check-raise to 10,000,000.

Lim mulled it over for a while and double-checked his cards once again before he tossed in calling chips to see the 3 on the turn. Lepovic now checked and Lim suddenly switched gears to declare all-in for an effective 62,000,000 into a pot of only 26,400,000.

At that point, both players were separated by fewer than one full big blind and Lepovic talked through all possible hand combinations he could think of before asking for a count on the shove. After more than three minutes, Lepovic sent his top pair into the muck.

Level 39 : Blinds 600,000/1,200,000, 1,200,000 ante

Brett Lim opened to 2,600,000 with the K8 and Elan Lepovic called with the A7 in the big blind. On the KJ5 flop, Lepovic check-called for 2,500,000 and they checked the 9 on the turn.

Lepovic checked the 9 on the river and then paid off a bet worth 2,000,000 to get shown the bad news.

Dennis Carlson raised to 5,000,000 on the button and Elan Lepovic called in the big blind after glancing at the stack of his opponent.

The flop came 952 and Lepovic checked, Carlson jammed for 21,675,000, and was snapped off.

Elan Lepovic: 55

The A turn left Carlson drawing dead prior to the 7 river and Lepovic suddenly jumped into the chip lead for the heads-up duel against Brett Lim after he was the far-shortest stack only half an hour ago. There will now be a very short break before the WSOP gold bracelet will be up for grabs.

After Brett Lim limped from the cutoff, Elan Lepovic on the button raised to 4,000,000. Jose Boloqui in the big blind then moved all-in for 16,250,000. He made Lim fold, but Lepovic snap-called.
