WSOP Online Poker Bracelet Event Canceled on Day 2 Due to Technical Issues

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) X account issued a statement Monday night following complaints from dozens of poker players about technical issues that occurred during an online bracelet event.
Event #7: $250 Mystery Bounty on the WSOP Online platform had reached Day 2 with the bounties in play. But players reported being booted from the software during the session, many due to geolocation issues.

WSOP Issues Statement
The online poker tournament in question had a $1 million guaranteed prize pool that had been surpassed. A player early on Day 2 pulled the $100,000 mystery bounty, the largest possible jackpot. But WSOP staff was eventually forced to pulled the plug on the bracelet event.
"Today’s restart of Online Bracelet Event #7 encountered technical difficulties which resulted in a high number of players unable to log in for the tournament. Therefore the tournament has been cancelled and all players who were in the field on the start of Day 2 will be contacted," the statement read.
The WSOP has not yet announced how the payouts will be divided. It's unclear if the mystery bounty pulls will be honored. Further information was not provided when the statement was issued.
Poker Players Express Frustration

Poker players took to X in droves to rant about the online poker incident. Adam Friedman, who already has two live final table appearances this summer, asked his followers if they had experienced "technical difficulties" while playing the online tournament.
Friedman later said he'd gotten back in the tournament, but issues for other players arose. Poker media's Terrance Reid tweeted that a player at his live WSOP table was getting away with raising and taking down the blinds in the online event because the others at the table had been disconnected.
"They must make this right," Reid demanded of the WSOP's online poker site.
Some players who responded to the WSOP's tweet asked what the response from the WSOP will be for other tournaments that were interrupted on the site. That issue hasn't yet been addressed.
